From online sensation to brick-and-mortar success, Akahoshi Ramen's debut was fueled by Klasik Construction's expertise. We transformed a vacant space into a culinary destination, balancing budget constraints with high-end details and a vibrant atmosphere, perfectly reflecting Mike Satinover's vision.
When Mike Satinover, the "Ramen Lord" of online fame, decided to open his first brick-and-mortar restaurant, he entrusted Klasik Construction with the task. The Akahoshi Ramen project presented a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Working within a busy mixed-use building, our team meticulously coordinated with property management, residents, and neighboring businesses, ensuring minimal disruption during the five-month construction phase.
Budget considerations were paramount. Klasik Construction collaborated closely with the design team to value-engineer elements of the project without compromising the overall aesthetic. Strategic use of existing materials, coupled with carefully chosen upgrades, allowed us to maximize the impact of every dollar.
The restaurant's design reflects a harmonious blend of Japanese aesthetics and modern functionality. Custom millwork, including a striking bar area and a 15-foot communal table crafted from a single tree slab, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Mitered stone corners and floating counter details add a touch of understated elegance.
Klasik Construction's meticulous planning and execution ensured the project was completed on time and without going over budget, allowing Mike Satinover to open Akahoshi Ramen to a throng of eager fans. The restaurant's immediate success is a testament to the power of a clear vision, combined with expert craftsmanship, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional space that compliments the exceptional culinary creations.
